WCEC REPORTS INDIVIDUAL POSING AS A CO-OP EMPLOYEE

Quitman, TX, August 18, 2005 - During the past few days, Wood County Electric Cooperative has had a confirmed report

that an individual posing as a WCEC employee or from the REA has approached someone’s home on fictitious business.

 

The instance involved a man who approached an elderly individual at their home to check for problems with their electricity.

 

Debbie Robinson, WCEC CEO and General Manager, advises all members to please be aware of any suspicious vehicles

or individuals posing as a WCEC employees. Under no circumstance should you allow anyone to enter your home without

proper identification. Our employees are uniformed and all vehicles carry our logo. Also, WCEC contractors working in

your area will have our company logo on their vehicles. Remember, WCEC employees will not ask to enter your home or

represent themselves as a REA employee.

number and contact WCEC at 903-763-2203 or your local Sheriff’s office immediately.
